Recipe # 1 = SUCCESS!

I had a few friends over the other night for dinner and decided to break out my Campbell's Soup 1-2-3 Dinner cookbook to make Honey Mustard Chicken.

The dish seemed simple enough to try. I was at the store a few days before and saw a Betty Crocker Sweet Potato Casserole that looked yummy so I picked it up!

Here are my ingredients before the cooking began.

I had another package of chicken because there were four of us and this package only had three breasts. Little did I know that those three chicken breasts were rather thick and would have been just fine.

So let the cooking begin!!

The chicken is all in the pan cooking and browning as instructed. My friend Adam was kind enough to trim the fat and help me with the cooking of the chicken. So yes that means I was not the only cook of this meal.

After browning the chicken and adding the honey mustard sauce it was finished and ready to plate along with the already finished sweet potato casserole and a salad one of my friends pre-made and brought as her contribution to the meal.

And this my friends is the final product! It was very good and all my guests enjoyed it as well! I recently had some for left overs and it was just as delicious!

Cooking is kind of fun! I can't wait to try another recipe soon!

Cooking Trials with Becky

Welcome to my blog! Cooking is foreign to me but I am about to hopefully change that. I have had some great friends buy me some cookbooks recently so I can learn to cook and become more comfortable in the kitchen. This blog will chronicle this. Whenever I cook I will blog about it and share with you all my successes and failures.

What's first? Tomorrow I am having a few friends over and will be making a dish out of my Campbell Soup Cookbook a good friend gave me. As a side dish I will be making a sweet potato casserole. Its a box mix by Betty Crocker but I've got to start somewhere right?

I will blog about it tomorrow and include pictures! Wish me luck!

Feel free to submit recipe ideas, just be gentle on me since its new to me for now!
